Motoring fans head to Truckfest
09 April 2008
Motoring fans will be heading to the east of England next month for the outdoors event Truckfest.
Between Sunday 4 May and Monday 5 May hundreds of trucks will be on display at the East of England Showground in Lincolnshire.
Outdoor activities visitors to the event will be able to enjoy include seeing ‘monster trucks’ and finding out about the latest accessories for this type of vehicle.
Event organisers say on the Truckfest website: ‘Whether it be the somersaulting truck of Patrick Bourney, the jet propelled Pirelli® Pro-Jet or monster trucks from the USA, they have all visited Truckfest’.
On Sunday evening Truckfest will invite visitors to an evening of entertainment, from 19.00 to 23.00.
Music for the evening will be provided by the Illegal Eagles, who are a tribute band to classic country band The Eagles®.
Organisers are also promising that a range of celebrities will grace Truckfest 2008, bringing a touch of glamour to the event.
In past years celebrity guests have included Vinnie Jones, Patsy Kensit and Coronation Street® actress Tina O'Brien.
Furthermore, for those who really want to make a weekend of the event, there will be a large camping area, complete with showers and toilets, for visitors to camp in with friends and family.
