Classic car event in Kent
25 April 2008
Motoring fans will be heading to Brands Hatch racetrack in Kent this month for an automobile bonanza.
The Classic Car Championships will take place on Saturday 26 April and Sunday 27 April, showcasing the best in sports, saloons and GT cars dating as far back as the 1960s.
Furthermore, fans of outdoor activities will also be able to watch pit stop races between saloons of any period, while Jaguars, Morgans and Formula Ford cars will also be getting their tyres warmed up on the track.
Entrance to the championships will cost adults £10 for a day ticket and £16 for weekend admission, if they book in advance.
A discount is available for children, with a weekend kid's ticket costing £12 in advance.
Brands Hatch is one of Europe's busiest racetracks and says on its website that it is ‘one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world’.
It adds: ‘Having undergone a series of major improvements in recent years, the Kent circuit now attracts some of the biggest international events on the calendar’.
The sporting location also hosts World Superbikes, the World Touring Car Championship, DTM and the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport.
