OS Select: Your own custom maps in a few easy steps

OS Select is a-made-to-order mapping service that gives you the opportunity to decide the centre location of the map. This can be your house, your favourite walk or even a mountain bike trail – anywhere in Great Britain! You can also choose from 21 cover images to further personalise your map.

So, if you want the benefit of the maximum area around your special place, choose OS Select. Be at the centre of your adventures and avoid the edge!

You can choose to have your OS Select map produced from 1:25 000 scale or 1:50 000 scale mapping.

OS Select – Explorer® version
Scale: 1:25 000
Coverage (on ground): 20 km by 20 km
Mapping area size: 80 cm by 80 cm

OS Select – Landranger® version
Scale: 1:50 000
Coverage (on ground): 40 km by 40 km
Mapping area size: 80 cm by 80 cm

Actual OS Select map sizing:
Folded map dimensions:  length: 22.5 cm; width: 13 cm; depth: 1 cm

Overall unfolded size:      length: 89 cm; width: 100 cm

Since your OS Select map is unique and printed to order, any maps ordered before 2.00pm will be dispatched next working day for delivery the following day. If you order after 2.00pm your order will be dispatched the following working day.

Essential product information

• As each OS Select Map is customised, they cannot be produced by our off-set lithographic print press used to print the OS Landranger and OS Explorer Map products.
• OS Select is plotted using inkjet printers at 300 dpi and therefore differs slightly when compared to our standard range of paper maps.
  
• OS Select maps use the same Ordnance Survey source data as our standard paper maps.
  
• OS Select products are not supplied with a glossy hard cover, as the cover image is printed directly onto the map paper. However, if you choose the folded version of OS Select you will receive the map in a cardboard sleeve that helps to protect it.

Due to the bespoke printing method, OS Select does not show magnetic declination information.
