Improved maps for London bike shops
23 August 2007
Bicycle shops throughout London are now stocking a set of new and improved Transport for London (TfL®) maps.
The set of 14 maps, developed with the London Cycling Campaign, are easy to use and help cyclists to identify the quickest and quietest routes around the capital.
The maps are double-sided and hard-wearing and give detailed information on some 4 000 kilometres of routes.
As reported by Bikebiz.co.uk, Ken Livingstone, the Mayor of London, said: ‘Cycling is the fastest, cheapest, most healthy and environmentally friendly way to get around London.
‘These new cycle maps will make cycling in London easier and help cyclists explore a whole new side to the capital by discovering literally thousands of short cuts and little known paths.’
Charlie Lloyd, of the London Cycling Campaign, commented: ‘The wider coverage of the new edition Cycle Guides is exactly what we need.
‘Discovering new areas and new routes is easier than ever.’
