Egg-cellent families’ days are on offer this Easter
06 March 2008
Some egg-cellently unusual family days out, which add a twist to the traditional egg and spoon race, will be taking place around England this Easter.
On Sunday 23 March at Battersea Park in London there will be a family-friendly ‘easy peasy’ Easter egg hunt on skates.
The Easter bunny will hide dozens of eggs around the park, which children and adults alike are invited to hunt down, using roller-skates to make their way around.
Once participants have collected their eggs, they can head back to the start point and hand them in to collect a ‘tasty Easter prize’.
For those who want to prolong their Easter celebrations, between Friday 21 March and Monday 24 March there will be another Easter skating-fest, taking place in Hyde Park, London.
On Good Friday revellers will be invited to take part in an 18-mile whiz around the capital, which will also feature a free instruction session and skills demonstration from a skate school instructor.
Meanwhile, in Scotland, between Friday 21 March and Sunday 23 March, a 'City tour of the Dead' will be taking place in Edinburgh, which will visit the ‘infamous’ MacKenzie Poltergeist.
