British tourism promoted
13 March 2008
Keen walkers and cyclists may be interested to know that the British Travel Trade Fair is set to be even bigger this year as it aims to highlight what Britain has to offer tourists.
VisitBritain, which organises the event, will form part of the Best of Britain consumer exhibition taking place between 26 and 29 March at London's ExCel.
According to the tourism organisation, the event will offer people the opportunity to ‘meet with and be inspired by’ a number of people within the sector and find out more about a variety of attractions.
Tom Wright, Chief Executive of VisitBritain, said that the ‘hybrid event’ will enable both trade and consumers to ‘experience the very best that Britain has to offer’.
In related news, Stephen Dowd, Chief Executive of UKinbound, recently said that there is ‘something here for everyone’ in the UK.
The countries’ history, culture and ‘sheer variety of things’ to do attracts tourists from all over the world.
