Christmas house party in Devon
24 October 2007
For those considering a UK holiday this Christmas, Devon may have just the answer.
Combe House Hotel is holding a three-night house party from 24–27 December this Christmas, for those who really want to get properly into the festive spirit.
The Devonshire hotel, which was voted UK Country Hotel of the Year in the 2007 Good Hotel Guide, is a 400-year-old Elizabethan manor house set in a large country estate.
Celebrations at the house will kick-off on Christmas Eve with a Devonshire clotted cream tea in the Great Hall, and will be followed by a five-course Christmas dinner, which chefs will create using local produce.
Visitors can stay at the hotel, which has the facilities to accommodate 32 guests, for a minimum of £1 035 per person for three days, inclusive of wine, food and entertainment.
Whilst in the Devon area ramblers can go walking along the region’s coastline, explore the history of the Jurassic Coast in Exeter or experience the ‘modern vibrancy’ of Plymouth.
